About Us

Albion College prepares
students to act.

Our graduates emerge with the
insight, focus, and confidence it
takes to pursue rewarding careers,
live meaningful lives, and help
build a better world.

  • Where the liberal arts form the basis of a comprehensive education.

With 49 majors, concentrations, and pre-professional programs, Albion gives students the flexibility to forge their own paths while gaining a true understanding of the world.

  • Where students are prepared to succeed.

Ninety-four percent of our class of 2011 alumni reported that they were employed, continuing their education, or engaged in volunteer service within six months of graduation. Learn about the Albion Advantage.

  • Where professors are in a class of their own.

Members of our faculty have recently received research and teaching grants from leading national organizations such as the National Endowment for the Arts, NASA, the U.S. Department of Energy, the William Randolph Hearst Foundations, and Hewlett-Packard.

  • Where scientists find their foundation.

Since 2009, our students have been awarded five National Science Foundation predoctoral fellowships in chemistry, geology, and psychology.

  • Where future doctors make their first rounds.

Graduates of our pre-professional medical and health programs continue on to prestigious medical schools such as the University of Michigan, the University of Colorado, the University of Rochester, and the University of Pittsburgh.

  • Where tomorrow’s teachers find inspiration.

Albion’s teacher education program was ranked No. 1 in the state by the Michigan Department of Education, and recognized as a Model of Excellence by the Association of Independent Liberal Arts Colleges for Teacher Education (AILACTE).

  • Where bright minds see the world.

We’ve approved 103 international programs, and ten of our alumni have been awarded Fulbright fellowships since 2004, enabling them to teach and conduct research across the globe.

  • Where campus life is livelier.

More than 75 percent of our students are involved in over 100 campus organizations, including Greek life. Nearly 40 percent are varsity student-athletes and many more participate in club or intramural sports

  • Where championship teams take the field.

Britons football—just one of our 21 varsity teams—holds 34 league titles, the most for any NCAA Division III college in Michigan.
