Heather Vogt, '16


Heather is a double major in Accounting CPA emphasis and Business & Organizations, hoping to pursue a career in public accounting. On campus Heather participates in Delta Sigma Pi, a business fraternity, and the Accounting Society. She is on the Women's Tennis Team, and is active in VITA, a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program run through the Economics and Management department . This past year she was an accounting tutor for Professor John Carlson.

Heather completed an internship with Rehmann in the tax department, where she worked on hundreds of tax returns from various areas.  She was given the opportunity to work in many different areas of tax.  At Thomson Reuters, her second internship, she was able to help current customers over the phone with their accounting software.  She was able to troubleshoot solutions to their problems. 

“What I love most about Albion is the small class sizes. They are more personal and provide a better learning environment. This enviroment is much like the office environments I was involved in where there are lots of interoffice interaction and communication.  I also appreciate how the professors make time for students whenever it is needed, whether it is classtime or not."
