Zach Fischer joined the Department of Theatre at Albion College in 2016 to teach acting and directing and contribute to the College's production schedule. A classically trained actor, Zach brings a variety of experiences—from directing and coaching to film, television, and Shakespeare—to his work with students in the department.

Before joining the Albion faculty, Zach was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Acting and Voice at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. During his 14 years as a New York City-based actor and director, Zach appeared in leading roles Off-Broadway and at Equity theaters across the country, including The Illinois Shakespeare Festival, The Fulton Theatre, The Alabama Shakespeare Festival, The Asolo Repertory Theatre, and The Virginia Stage Company. Television credits include The Americans, 30 Rock, Gossip Girl, Law & Order, Power, American Odyssey, and The Jim Gaffigan Show. In addition to his own work, Zach is an accomplished professional audition coach for stage, film, and commercial actors, an endeavor that inspired him to pursue a full-time teaching career. He received his M.F.A. in classical acting from Florida State University's Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training.
