Bring the family back to campus to visit your student, hear from President Mauri Ditzler, meet other Albion parents and join the Festival of the Forks downtown event! There is a lot to see on campus, especially with all of our exciting construction projects. Your student is a part of our College community, so come and learn more about it!

Schedule of Events

8:45 - 9:30 a.m.

Coffee with Mauri

Location: Living room, Kellogg Center

Mix and mingle with other Albion Parents while making connections over light breakfast and coffee. Hear about the exciting things happening at Albion College from President Mauri Ditzler.

9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Registration and Information Tent

Location: Registration Tent, Campus Quadrangle

If you pre-registered, stop here to pick up your complimentary lunch ticket(s) and more information about the day.

10:00 a.m.

Parade and Festival of the Forks

Location: Downtown Albion

Meet in the Kellogg Center Living Room by 9:30 am, to walk with President Ditzler to the parade downtown. 

11:00 - 2:00 p.m.

Family Picnic and Activities

Location: The Big Brit Tent, Campus Quadrangle

Enjoy a picnic style lunch with your student along with a variety of family activities, including bouce houses, corn hole games, and group photos.

12:30-1:30 p.m. Family Photo by the Rock

Location: Family Photo by the Rock

Have a unique Albion College family photo with your student in front of the Rock.Photos will be printed on the spot to the first 200 families.

2:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Liberal Arts Experience

Location: Vulgamore Hall

(Previously list as Mock Classes.)

Get a hands-on experience from our talented professors by rotating through the classes below. These classes will repeat every 20 minutes for four sessions.

Festival of the Forks, Downtown Albion

Family Day has been planned in conjunction with the City of Albion's annual Festival of the Folks, a two-day, non-stop festival of food, fun, shopping, and music in downtown Albion, Michigan. In addition to wonderful food choices, live music, guided tours of the renovations at the historic Bohm Theatre and the annual book sale, enjoy the following activities throughout the weekend.
