alex-chatziapostolou-.jpgVocalist Alex Chatziapostolou performs his senior recital on Saturday, April 4 at 7:30 p.m. in Goodrich Chapel.

A performance music major, Chatziapostolou will sing “Dichterliebe” by Robert Schumann Songs 1 through 7, “Despite and Still” by Samuel Barber, and “Quella Fiama” by Francesco Conti among others.

Chatziapostolou has been involved with music since high school where he was a member of both the musical drama club and his own private band. His Albion College music career began with his appointment to the role of Frederic in the Music Department’s production of “The Pirates of Penzance” in April of 2006.

In his time at Albion, Chatziapostolou also performed as lead tenor in "Trial by Jury" and has been a member of the Albion College Choir for three years.

After graduating, Chatziapostolou plans to work on a graduate degree in vocal performance at Baylor University, He says of his time at Albion, "Albion allowed me to have classical music training along with a close relationship with my professors. Albion's size might be small to the eye but offers great potential to its students. There would be no other college or university that I would like to make my first steps in classical music training."

This performance is free and open to the public.  For up to date calendar information, visit our website at www.albion.edu/music or call the Music Department at 517/629-0481 or email us at
