Greenwood Participates in Lions' Minicamp

Chris Greenwood, Albion’s cornerback who gained American Football Coaches Association All-America and Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Defensive MVP awards in 2011, launched his National Football League career May 11-13 by participating in the Detroit Lions’ rookie minicamp. Dave Lawrence and Bobby Lee visited with Chris at the Lions’ headquarters in Allen Park.
Albion Mourns Passing of Ron Springer, '66

Ron Springer, '66, an all-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association football performer in 1964 and 1965 and the league's co-MVP in 1965, has passed away at age 68. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 20th round of the 1966 NFL Draft. He was inducted into Albion's Athletic Hall of Fame in 1994.

Wasil, '06, Leads AFL Team to Another Victory

Steve Wasil, '06, passed for six touchdowns and ran for another as the Tampa Bay Storm defeated the Orlando Predators, 55-31, in May 5 Arena Football League action. Wasil was 16-of-25 for 217 yards.
The win was Tampa Bay's second in a row and gave the Storm a Southern Division-leading 5-3 record in the AFL's American Conference.
