5:17 pm - LARCENY: An employee reported a cell phone had been stolen from a locker room at Kresge Gym. Disp: Closed (Administrative).

January 13th

8:45 pm - LARCENY: A cell phone was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in front of Wesley Hall. Disp: Inactive.

January 14th

11:35 am - SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  The rear door of an employee vehicle parked in lot 18 was reported to be slightly ajar. The vehicle door was secured and the owner was notified. Disp: Cleared. 

4:40 pm - ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION:  A marijuana smell was reported in Wesley Hall. The source was unable to be located. Disp: Inactive.

January 16th

1:26 pm - PARKING COMPLAINT:  A vehicle blocking access to a dumpster in Fraternity Alley was reported. The owner was contacted and moved her vehicle so the dumpster could be emptied. Disp: Cleared.

7:40 am - SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A vehicle window in lot 22 was reported to be rolled half way down. Vehicle owner was contacted. Disp: Cleared.

8:30 am - SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  Officers reported a student vehicle parked with a window rolled most of the way down. Student was contacted. Disp: Cleared.

8:37 am - PARKING COMPLAINT:  A vehicle in lot 8 was reported to be blocking in other vehicles and could cause a possible collision. Student was contacted to move the vehicle. Disp: Cleared.

9:48 am - PARKING COMPLAINT:  Two students were contacted to move their vehicles from Dining Services employee parking area. Disp: Cleared.

7:09 pm - SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A student reported a male individual driving around the block a few times and finally parking in front of the sorority houses. Officers spoke with the individual who identified himself as a student and that he was in the process of removing his parking sticker to bring into Campus Safety. Disp: Unfounded.

8:24 pm - ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION:  A marijuana smell was reported at Wesley Hall. The source was not able to be determined. Disp: Inactive.

1:01 am - SUSPICIOUS SITUATION:  A marijuana smell was reported at Wesley Hall. Occupants of the suspected room were contacted. Officers found no indication of marijuana. Disp: inactive.

1:50 am - PARKING COMPLAINT:  A student advised she was unable to find a parking spot in her assigned lot. Disp: Cleared.

3:49 pm - ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION:  Incident occurred at Wesley Hall. Disp: Closed (Administrative). 

January 22nd

9:14 am - VEHICLE ACCIDENT: A student hit a parked employee vehicle in lot 18. Disp: Cleared.

10:02 pm - ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION: A marijuana smell was reported in Wesley Hall. Officers were unable to locate the source of the odor. Disp: Inactive.

11:34 pm - ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION: An unwanted, intoxicated student was reported at Sigma Chi Fraternity. Student was escorted back to Mitchell Towers were a subsequent search produced illegal paraphernalia. Disp: closed (Administrative).

1:30 am - VEHICLE ACCIDENT: An observer reported a student backing into a parked vehicle in lot 8. Disp: Cleared.

12:18 am - ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION: A report was made of a marijuana smell in Wesley Hall. Officers were unable to locate the source. Disp: Cleared. 

1:42 am - FIGHT: Incident occurred on the volleyball court between Sigma Nu and Alpha Tau Omega. Disp: Cleared. 

7:45 pm - SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A city resident reported students driving recklessly behind Wesley Hall. Officer did not find any vehicles or tire tracks in Wesley Acres. Disp: Disp: Cleared.

10:15 pm - ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION: A marijuana smell was reported in Wesley Hall. Officers were unable to locate the source. Disp: cleared.

January 27th

8:35 am - PARKING COMPLAINT: Officers advised a student vehicle was parked blocking in another vehicle in lot 4. Student was contacted. Disp: Cleared.

9:45 am - PARKING COMPLAINT: Three students parked in lot 1 were emailed/texted to move vehicles into a proper spot. Disp: Cleared.

1:30 pm - PARKING COMPLAINT: An employee reported vehicles parked in lot 10 were blocking college fleet vehicles. Vehicles were leaving on officers arrival. Disp: Cleared.

January 29th

8:09 am - PARKING COMPLAINT: Food Service employees reported there was no parking in Lot 11. Disp: Cleared

2:31 pm - PARKING COMPLAINT: A student reported no parking in Lot 18. Disp: Cleared.

January 30th

10:36 am SUSPICIOUS PERSON:  A student reported that a Jehovah Witness knocked on her door and urged her to read a biblical verse. The student advised the woman left when she said she was not interested and did not cause any hassle. Officers were unable to make contact with the Jehovah Witness. Disp: Cleared.

11:44 am - PARKING COMPLAINT: An employee of the Methodist Church reported a vehicle parked in a spot she believed could cause an accident. Vehicle owner was contacted.

12:28 pm - SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A student reported her Black i-Pod touch had been stolen off a table on the 3rd floor of Vulgamore Hall, while she left the area for a few minutes. At 12:49, the student called back advising the i-Pod had been found on another table on the same floor, but the other end of the building. Disp: Unfounded.

3:42 pm - DAMAGE TO PROPERTY: A student reported damage to her and another students vehicles parked in Lot 14. Disp: Cleared

January 31

11:44 am - PARKING COMPLAINT: An employee reported a vehicle parked in the middle of Fraternity Alley, making access for delivery trucks almost impossible. The vehicle owner was contacted and moved her vehicle. Disp: Cleared. 

12:44 pm - MEDICAL EMERGENCY: A worker reported an unconscious individual in the racquetball courts of the Dow Center. Officers responded and found the female student alert and being attended to by college athletic trainers. Emergency paramedics advised the student see a doctor, but she refused medical attention..Disp; Cleared.

2:10 am - ASSIST ADPS: ADPS contacted Campus Safety and asked for a student to be notified that their car was impeding traffic on Erie Street and needed to be moved. Message was delivered to vehicle owner. Disp: Cleared.

3:15 pm - PARKING COMPLAINT: A Campus Safety officer was requested to help with chaotic parking in Lot 10. Vehicles were blocking the exit of athletic buses .Disp: Cleared.

February 2nd

12:13 am - NOISE COMPLAINT: A noise complaint was reported in Whitehouse Hall. Room residents were advised to lower the volume of their voices. Disp: Cleared.

February 3rd

10:00 am - ASSIST ADPS: A college employee reported watching a vehicle hit a parked car on Hannah Street and drive away without stopping. The owner of the parked car was contacted and met with ADPS officers at Campus Safety. Disp: Closed (Criminal).

12:32 pm - MEDICAL EMERGENCY: A student reported slipping on icy steps in front of Wesley Hall. She said she was sore but did not want further medical attention. She also advised she had contacted Facilities about the condition of the stairs. Disp: Cleared.

12:37 pm - PARKING COMPLAINT: Officers reported a staff vehicle partially blocking a handicap space in Lot 8. The vehicle owner was contacted to move the car. Disp: Cleared.

1:10 pm - PARKING COMPLAINT: Employees reported vehicles parking in 'No Parking Zones' in Lot 1 were making it hard to navigate through the lot. Owners of five vehicles were emailed to move to an appropriate parking space. Disp: Cleared. 

8:49 pm - MEDICAL EMERGENCY: Wesley RA's reported a student had fallen on the east steps of Wesley Hall. Disp: Cleared. 

10:25 pm - MEDICAL EMERGENCY: A student reported that another student fell and injured his knee while playing basketball at Kresge Gym. Disp: Cleared.

10:55 am - PARKING COMPLAINT: A student was contacted to move his vehicle which was parked on the sidewalk near lot 22. Disp: Cleared.

3:14 pm - PARKING COMPLAINT: Employees reported students parking in staff lot 18 for class. Students were contacted to move vehicles to student parking. Disp: Cleared.

6:30 pm - PARKING COMPLAINT: A student advised her car sits low and she could not park in her assigned lot because of the snow. She was given permission to park in an alternate spot. Disp: Cleared.

1:19 pm - PARKING COMPLAINT: A student and two employees emailed to move their vehicle from Lot 8 for snow removal. Disp: Cleared.

4:59 pm - SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A student reported there was a bag hanging from the roof overhang of Fiske Annex. Disp: Cleared.

5:10 pm - VEHICLE ACCIDENT: A student reported witnessing someone backing into her vehicle and driving away in Lot 14. Disp: Cleared.

12:38 am - SMOKE/ODOR INVESTIGATION: A marijuana smell was reported in Wesley Hall. Disp: Cleared.

10:25 pm - PARKING COMPLAINT: A student advised there were no handicapped spots available in Lot 8 and asked for assistance. Disp: Cleared.

11:20 am - PARKING COMPLAINT: A student reported being unable to find a spot in the Lot 18 student section. Disp: Cleared.

1:55 pm - PARKING COMPLAINT: A student was contacted to move her vehicle so the Grounds Department could finish Lot 1 snow removal. Disp: Cleared.

5:57 pm - SMOKE/ODOR INVESTIGATION: A marijuana odor was reported in Wesley Hall. Officers were unable to locate a source. Disp: Cleared.

February 14th

11:00 am - PARKING COMPLAINT: A student was contacted to move her vehicle from the Wesley Hall east sidewalk where it had been parked since the previous night. Disp: Cleared.

3:26 pm - INTRUSION ALARM: An employee accidentally set off the intrusion alarm at the Computer/Tech Building. The alarm was reset. Disp: Cleared.

February 15th

9:24 am - SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: An employee reported several males running up to Baldwin Hall and beating on the windows. Officers surveyed the area and did not see anyone. Disp: Cleared.

10:08 am - DAMAGE TO PROPERTY: An employee reported the male students who had been beating on the Baldwin Hall windows broke one of the glass panes. Disp: Cleared.

11:20 am - SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A student called to advise about a situation in a personal relationship. No crime or policy violation occurred. Disp: Unfounded.

12:13 pm - VEHICLE ACCIDENT: Accident occurred at the Dow Center between two campus visitors. Disp: Cleared.

10:40 pm - SMOKE/ODOR INVESTIGATION: A faint smell of marijuana was reported in Wesley Hall. Officers were unable to detect an odor of any kind. Disp: Cleared.

8:43 am - PARKING COMPLAINT: A student was contacted to move her vehicle from blocking a handicapped space in Lot 8. Disp: Cleared.

10:42 am - MEDICAL EMERGENCY: A student reported slipping and falling on ice on the corner of Cass and Park Streets. Disp: Cleared.

9:30 pm - MEDICAL EMERGENCY: A student called reporting to not feel well. Officer responded and asked for ACA who transported the student to the hospital. Disp: Cleared.

February 18th

5:30 pm - VEHICLE ACCIDENT: A student reported damage to her vehicle parked in the Seaton Lot. Disp: Cleared.

8:10 pm - MEDICAL EMERGENCY: A resident assistant reported a student had dropped hot food on her foot. Officers responded and said she did not want medical attention. Disp: Cleared.

4:04 pm - MEDICAL EMERGENCY: A report of a student playing racquetball was made who had run into the court glass door, shattering it and hurting his hand at the Dow Center.

11:25 pm - NOISE COMPLAINT: Officers noticed ADPS at 507 Erie Street Annex. ADPS had received a noise complaint. Residents of the annex were sending everyone home on Campus Safety's arrival. Disp: Cleared.

12:08 am - MALICIOUS ALARM ACTIVATION: Incident occurred at Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. Disp: Inactive.

11:11 pm - ILLEGAL DRUG VIOLATION: Incident occurred in Wesley Hall. Disp: Cleared.

March 3rd

3:45 pm - ASSIST ADPS: Officers assisted ADPS with a semi truck stuck in a snow bank on Michigan Ave near Wesley Hall. Disp: Cleared.

6:25 pm - SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A city resident reported smelling smoke and hearing voices in the Nature Center while skiing. Officers responded but could not find anyone in the area. Disp: Cleared.

12:33 am - MEDICAL EMERGENCY: Officers checked the welfare of an ill student in Wesley Hall. Disp: Cleared.

March 7th

12:20 am - SMOKE ALARM: Incident occurred at Sigma Nu Fraternity. Alarm activation appeared to be caused by heavy use of air freshener. Disp: cleared.

March 9th

5:17 pm - SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A student reported hearing voices in Sigma Chi where he was supposed to be the only one in the building for spring break. Officers reported no other individuals were in the building and did not see anything suspicious.

March 10th

2:22 pm - ASSIST ADPS: An officer reported hearing 6-8 shots off campus around Superior and River Streets. ADPS was advised via Central Dispatch. Disp: Cleared.

March 11th

3:19 am - SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: An officer found a door with a credit card stuck in the latch to keep it open at Burns Street Apartments. It was removed and the door secured. After completing a check of the building, the officer found a candle burning in a parking place in the lot outside. The candle was extinguished and brought back to Campus Safety .Disp: Cleared. 

March 18th

2:05 am - BAT REMOVAL: A student worker reported a sleeping/dead bat in Stockwell Library. Disp: Cleared.

March 19th

11:34 am - SUSPICIOUS PERSON: A Campus Safety officer spoke with three non student individuals looking for cans in Fraternity Alley. They were advised to leave. Disp: cleared.

11:48 pm - NOISE COMPLAINT: A report was made of students being loud in Dean Hall. Officers spoke with the loud individuals who agreed to quiet down. Disp: Cleared.

March 21st

9:00 am-SEXUAL ASSAULT:  A sexual assault was reported.  Incident occurred during the Fall 2013 semester in a fraternity house. Disp: Inactive.

March 22nd

8:14 am - MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: A college employee reported damage in the first floor Seaton Hall bathroom. Disp: Disp: Inactive.

1:16 am - IRRESPONSIBLE STUDENT ACTION: A student was observed urinating in the Mitchell Towers stairwell. Disp: Closed (Administrative). 

1:57 am - SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A faint smell of marijuana was reported in Wesley Hall. Disp: Cleared.

2:05 pm - SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A report was made that the Albion College sign on the corner of Park St and Michigan Ave looked to have been vandalized. Officers found the substance to be salt blown on the sign from plowing during the winter months Disp: Unfounded.

8:24 pm - ASSIST ADPS: A student reported a white bull dog wandering outside Mitchell Towers. Officers picked up the dog. ADPS was contacted and asked if we could take it to a residential home who had reported their dog missing earlier in the day. Disp: Cleared.

10:35 pm - SMOKE/ODOR INVESTIGATION: A group of individuals were reported smoking marijuana in Wesley Acres.

11:43 pm - ASSIST ADPS: Calhoun County Central Dispatch advised Campus Safety to keep a look out for a non-student threatening to do bodily harm on the railroad tracks in Albion. The individual was located by police shortly after. Disp: Cleared.

5:11 am - SUSPICIOUS PERSON: A person was reported in the balcony of Goodrich Chapel. Officers responded and found a student resting after practicing all night. Disp: Cleared.

2:00 pm - ASSAULT AND BATTERY: An assault was reported that occurred the previous day at Sigma Nu.Disp: Closed (Administrative).

3:23 pm - TROUBLE ALARM: Science Complex trouble alarm activated and quickly cleared. Officers checked the panel in the building which showed everything was normal. Facilities was notified of the trouble.Disp: Cleared.

4:55 am - MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: A student reported a broken window in the basement of Alpha Tau Omega.Disp; Inactive).

10:47 am - SMOKE ALARM: Officers advised that during a walkthrough of the Octagon Annex the smoke detector was sounding. The building was secure and the alarm was reset. Disp: Cleared.

8:01 am - SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: Facilties reported one of the vending machines, near the Dow Center concession stands, was standing open.Disp: Cleared.

10:35 am - SUSPICIOUS PERSON: Campus Safety officers spoke with an individual looking for objects with a metal detector in the Equestrian Center fields. He was advised to notify the Equestrian staff before searching. Disp: Cleared.

2:35 pm - INTRUSION ALARM: Facilities tripped the intrusion alarm at the Jr High. Alarm turned off. Disp: Cleared.

12:32 pm - SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A visiting student living in College housing advised her basement light was on and it hadn't been when she left that morning. Building was checked and she was advised college employees must have left it on after taking care of maintenance work in the basement. Disp: cleared.

7:45 am - SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: Facilities advised a light was on and a window open to an upper room of Sigma Chi. They reported it had been closed last week. Officers found the building and room secure other than the window open. Disp: Cleared.

9:52 am - INTRUSION ALARM: Bellemont Manor intrusion alarm was tripped. Officers arrived and found pest control checking the building. Disp: Cleared.

1:26 am - TROUBLE ALARM: Science Complex trouble alarm activated. Officers checked the building and found one of the basement boosters had an alarm. Facilities was contacted. Disp: Cleared.

5:48 am - SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: A Campus Safety officer noticed a vehicle parked near Mitchell Towers who looked as though they were going to throw trash in a college dumpster. When the driver saw the officer they got back in their car and drove off. Disp: Cleared.

4:41 pm - SUSPICIOUS SITUATION: Officers observed two students coming out of the Kappa Delta sorority lodge. The students advised they were doing some painting in the basement and left the lights on. Disp: Cleared.
