Career: Analyst for Ernst & Young in Advisory Services
In a nutshell, what do you do?
I work as an Analyst for Ernst & Young in their Advisory services in Dallas, Texas. I work in their Performance Improvement group, which works with different clients to help them deliver year-on-year growth. The work varies greatly from client to client, which is part of what makes it so interesting, and deals with a variety of tasks from designing and implementing new financial systems to analyzing data to improve cost management.
How did Albion help you get there?
I definitely wouldn’t be where I am today without the massive support I have had from the E&M department, especially from Professor Hooks. His classes, as well as working as a research assistant for him, really sparked my interest in the field of finance, which eventually brought me to my position at Ernst and Young.
During my time here, Albion taught me so much, especially time management. Albion offers so much – and for me, a big draw was the equestrian center. Albion helped me balance not only riding with academics, but other groups on campus as well, and taught me how to successfully combine all of the passions in my life.
For me, Albion…
I am grateful for everything that Albion has offered and given to me, and excited to begin the next chapter of my life!
