Equestrian Hunt Seat Camp

hunt seat campThe Albion College Equestrian Team welcomes you to sign up for one of the Varsity Hunt Seat Camps dates for 2025.

The camp will be located at the Nancy G. Held Equestrian Center at Albion College in Albion, Michigan.  Riders will stay and eat on campus and be transported from the College to the Center (approximately 1 mile).

Camp Details

On Day 1 (tentatively 11am) campers will check-into the campus residential hall and then head to the center for an assessment ride. Riders will ride 1-2 times per day on our school horses and participate in team building exercises.  (Full camp schedule will be available soon)

Who should join us

  • Co-educational camp for equestrians in the class of 2025, 2026, 2026, 2028

Riding prerequisites

  • Riders must be able to groom and tack up their own horse
  • Riders must be able to walk, trot, and canter on the flat and jump complete courses of 2′ or higher on an unfamiliar horse.
  • Riders are required to send video demonstrating competency at least 30 days before the start of their selected camp session.

Camp cost:  $1,300.00 ($150 non-refundable deposit due at the time of registration)
Includes: Overnight accommodations in our residential hall, meals in our campus dining hall, sessions facilitated by Albion College coaches, and evening activities.
