Kayla Sharp

Kayla Sharp, ’21, is an Economics & Management and Communications Studies double major and a member of the Carl A. Gerstacker Institute for Business and Management. Additionally, at Albion, Kayla has been a member of the Beta Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega and is a Communications Studies tutor, member of the Women’s soccer team, former President of Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity and is a part of a multitude of academic and athletic honors societies. She also had the opportunity to study abroad in Barcelona, Spain the spring of her junior year.

This past summer, Kayla completed an internship with Bank of America Merrill Lynch. During her time with the wealth management firm she was able to gain valuable experience learning about the financial market and Merrill Lynch technological advances, managing potential prospects, making cold calls and even collaborating closely with other interns on group projects where her group then presented those projects to management. Upon graduation Kayla is hoping for a position in the wealth management industry or even in consulting or strategic management.

“Albion has provided me with the opportunity to learn a diverse amount of information from several areas of study. The academics and broad range of clubs and organizations provided on campus have really helped bolster valuable skills that will be essential building blocks in accelerating my career post-graduation. I am so thankful to have met the friends and professors that I have. This close-knit community is unbeatable. Everyone here cares about seeing you succeed and the close relationships you build within this community are ones that’ll last a lifetime. Albion has pushed me outside of my comfort zone. Traveling abroad and even tackling a double major are things I never thought I could do. This institution encouraged me to be a better student, teammate, and friend and I could not be more thankful for my amazing four years here.”
