Center for Sustainability and the Environment
Empowering students to be environmental and social changemakers.
Explore. Protect. Act. Thrive. The Center for Sustainability and the Environment (CSE) cultivates imagination, knowledge, and leadership for those seeking to protect and sustain the environment in their lives, actions, and through impactful careers. CSE provides students a wide range of opportunities to engage in and lead environmental and sustainability projects that are locally based, focusing on the campus and local communities, but recognizing that the environment knows no boundaries.
Applying to CSE via the website is available to both prospective students and current Albion College students. If you need more information, please contact any CSE staff member: faculty director Thom Wilch ([email protected]), director Monica Day ([email protected]u), sustainability coordinator Ashlynn Reed ([email protected]).
Student Farm
The mission of the Albion College Student Farm is to cultivate a student-organized, all-natural, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing produce garden for the benefit of students, faculty, and members of the Albion community of all ages.
During the school year, students from the Center for Sustainability and the Environment, the Whitehouse Nature Center and other campus organizations can volunteer at the farm, growing sustainable produce for campus and wider Albion community.
