Are you passionate about the law? Want to pursue a legal career or in government or policy? As a Pre-Law major, you'll gain a deep understanding of legal philosophies, how to formulate sound and ethical arguments, and have ample opportunities to practice critical reasoning.
Why Study Pre-Law at Albion?
At Albion, you’ll work together with faculty to develop a four-year plan of study that will foster an understanding of the legal profession and help you prepare for law school. You’ll develop the ability to analyze complex texts and arguments, to communicate your positions with clarity and precision, and to understand and distill complex systems of thought.
What Will You Learn as a Philosophy with Pre-Law Emphasis Major?
Pre-Law students at Albion will benefit from a curated set of courses aimed at increasing knowledge and understanding of logic, ethics, and legal philosophies. The philosophy major with pre-law emphasis consists of a minimum of eight units: one unit in each of the areas that fall within the core, one unit in philosophical issues in the law, one unit capstone research seminar, and three electives at least one of which is at the 300-level.
