Amalia Kalergis

Counseling Intern

Office of Integrated Wellness

Amalia is a 3rd year graduate student at Eastern Michigan University in the College Counseling program. She graduated from Central Michigan University in 2021 earning a Bachelor’s degree in English literature and language, Spanish, and Psychology. Amalia believes people are greater than the sum of their parts, so she seeks to understand the unique interplay of each aspect of who you are. This means no counseling relationship is the same. Amalia utilizes a collaborative, client-centered approach that emphasizes meeting you where you’re at and providing a non-judgmental space for self-exploration. Counseling is about having an empowering space where we work collaboratively to promote overall well-being. In her free time, she enjoys reading romance novels (when not reading study materials), traveling, watching movies, kayaking, procrastibaking, and spending time with friends and family.
