Albion College’s unique educational learning laboratory serves local community-based, regional, and national partner organizations.

Representatives from nearly 20 colleges, universities and community organizations across four continents will convene in Albion June 6-8 to learn from each other in discussing “The Role of Higher Education in Nurturing Sustainable Communities.”

The newest ranking of colleges by Money.com counts Albion among the country’s top 50 private institutions with fewer than 2,500 students.

Philanthropic efforts, including a matching gift from Lisa and James Wilson, ’79, ’77, facilitate Albion’s purchase of a new nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer, a “workhorse” in the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department.

As Albion College prepares to formally recognize the Class of 2022 May 7 at Commencement, the College for the first time hosted three multicultural graduation events April 29: La Cosecha for Latinx and Hispanic students, the Lavender graduation for LGBTQIA+ students and the Kente graduation for Black students.

Saturday, April 16, a group of Albion College faculty and staff boarded a Brit Bus full of children’s books and ventured into the community, handing out free books to eager kids.
