Commencement is not only a time of ushering the graduating class of 2024 into the next phase of their journeys, but also our esteemed Albion College faculty and instructional staff retiring after decades of commitment and service.

Philosophy professor emeritus Ralph Davis passed away Feb. 8 in Portland, OR at the age of 81. He is survived by Margaret, his wife of 55 years, two children and one grandchild.

Albion accounting major Brandon Luttig, ’23, gains experience in Michigan’s Office of the Auditor General.

Not quite ready to face the job market, two friends decide to hike the length of the 2,200-mile Appalachian Trail and along the way discover much about each other, themselves and the world around them. Says one: it was a “life-changing experience.”

A memorial service will take place Sunday, February 12, 2:30 p.m., at Silver Maples in Chelsea. A Celebration of Life on the Albion campus is being planned for later this year.
