In a nutshell, what do you do?

I am part of a team that provides accounting and auditing services for our clients. This encompasses working with them year round, reporting their financial statements to the public and others, while making sure they are in compliance with laws and regulations.

Why do you love what you do?

Mostly for me, it is something different each day and it is not a routine of month after month of doing the same cycle of activities. The people I meet with EY are fantastic, always helpful, and I enjoy being with them outside of work which makes the job even better. It is challenging, and you always continue to learn and advance so you do not take what you know and stop at that. This personally makes me feel very good about what I do.

How did Albion help you get there?

In so many ways. An important part was the Gerstacker Institute and the help the three amazing ladies provided. They have helped with networking, putting on career events to get students to see more industries, while finding the best fit for each student. They helped me with scheduling my classes to make sure I completed every course I needed for my degree. All the professors I met through Albion supported me even if I was not majoring in their field of study. Being an athlete, the professors would go out of their way to congratulate me on accomplishments and really helped make my years at Albion very enjoyable.

For me, Albion…

Albion really was the reason I am who I am today. I had my personality and my focus in life, and Albion brought out the best in me and helped me reach my career goals. I can’t thank Albion College, faculty, and the staff enough.
