Albion College’s Honors Convocation recognizes outstanding achievements in teaching and learning, leadership and service. It is a public symbol of Albion’s commitment to the intellectual discipline, the realization of critical and creative potential, and the qualities of character typified by the life and mind of the scholar and the actions of good citizens.
Honors Convocation will be held on Thursday, April 18, at 10:45 a.m., in Goodrich Chapel. If the weather is good, faculty will assemble on the plaza in front of the Chapel at 10:30 a.m. In case of inclement weather, assembly will be in the basement of the Chapel. To ensure that the Convocation is complete by noon, the faculty procession will begin at 10:45 a.m. sharp!
This year’s Convocation is being held in coordination with the Elkin Isaac Research Symposium, a day-long program in which students will present their own research to their classmates, the faculty and staff. We invite you to attend as many of the student presentations occurring throughout the day.
Emeriti faculty are welcome to participate in all of the Symposium events, including processing with the faculty at the Convocation.
