Following successful risk management amidst the pandemic throughout Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semesters, Albion is returning to standard academic calendar.

Keena Williams, chief belonging officer, and Dr. Mathew Johnson, president of Albion College, shared a message in support of our Asian-American and Pacific Islander community members.

From nonprofit organizations in Southern California to a world-class research team in Maryland, Albion College’s 2021 Distinguished and Young Alumni Award winners span the country as they work to make the world a better place.

The Albion native helps a diverse student population navigate the mental and physical challenges of today’s world.

It’s part of a continuing commitment by Albion College to provide a diverse and inclusive learning and working experience.

Guided by Dr. Vicki Baker (far left), professor of economics and management, and soon to be situated downtown, students in AC3 connect with and advise local clients, build and refine strategies ranging from operations to marketing, and gain valuable experience and professional preparation.

“I feel like at a bigger school, I’d be very intimidated to talk to my professor in that way, where we can be vulnerable with each other. Having that small faculty-to-student ratio makes it very comfortable to have conversations like that.”

Dr. Oveta Fuller, University of Michigan microbiology and immunology professor, gave the address during the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Convocation and Community Celebration, a virtual event in 2021.
