Center for International Education (CIE)
The world is Albion’s classroom.
Albion College is home to international students from over 20 countries, and more than 50 Albion students study abroad each year. With over 100 study abroad options to choose from, there is no shortage of global learning opportunities for students both on and off-campus.
The Center for International Education (CIE) works with students, faculty, and staff to develop international programs that connect Albion’s campus with the global community. For students interested in building their global competency and communication skills, a variety of intercultural programs help them shape their international leadership skills.
See the International Education Week 2024 Slideshow for a sampling of Albion students, faculty, staff, and community as they engage in impactful global experiences.
Faculty Opportunities
Albion Faculty have funded opportunities to do research and teach abroad in summer of 2024, thanks to Albion’s institutional partnerships with John Cabot University in Italy and the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.

Expose Albion students to a global experience by including a global travel component to your Albion classes. Albion College supports faculty who develop programs that bring classes abroad as a part of their courses. If the course is for credit, students can apply for Albion Go! Grant funding to participate. Whether they travel or not, students can apply for a free US passport through the Albion Explorer Free Passport Program.
