3D Printing
Albion College Instructional Technology offers affordable 3D printing services for students, faculty, and staff. These printers can be used for classroom projects, tools, integrations, research, or for entertainment purposes.
Requirements:
Those who would like to learn 3D printing are required to complete the Moodle 3D Printing training and conduct one supervised print. Once these steps are completed, users can sign out a printer for use.
This course also counts towards earning a 3D Printing Innovation Badge. Innovation Badges are digital microcredentials that provide evidence of knowledge acquisition in units smaller than the traditional degree.
Prior to starting your 3D print journey in the Innovation Lab, please read through and fill out the 3D Printing User Agreement.
Printers and Materials:
Filament type and color options for each machine vary depending on current projects and needs. The Lab has 5 Ultimaker 3D printers available for use.
Cost:
$0.15 cents per gram (plastic)
$0.20 cents per mL (resin)

Cura (for Ultimaker 3/Creality 10s Pro)
PreForm (for Form 2)
