To support students in maintaining the greatest degree of wellness possible, Albion College has partnered with Oaklawn Hospital to provide health care to students. Oaklawn Medical Group-Albion and the Express Care clinic are available from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week and can be contacted at (517) 654-1020.

What to Do if You Become Ill on Campus

If You Have Symptoms That Could Be Related to COVID-19 Toggle Accordion

To support students in maintaining the greatest degree of wellness possible, Albion College has partnered with Oaklawn Hospital to provide health care to students. Oaklawn Medical Group-Albion and the Express Care clinic are available from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week during term time, and can be contacted at (517) 654-1020.

The following symptoms are associated with COVID-19:

  • Fever or chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea

If you experience any of these symptoms between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday to Friday, contact Albion’s COVID-19 team at (517) 629-0220 or covidteam@albion.edu, or seek medical care at the Oaklawn Medical Group-Albion and the Express Care clinic, located at 302 N Monroe St Suite A, Albion, MI 49224.

If You Have a Health Issue Not Related to COVID-19 Toggle Accordion

If you have a health issue not related to COVID-19, call Oaklawn Medical Group-Albion and the Express Care for guidance during their open hours, 11 a.m to 8 p.m., seven days a week, or schedule a telehealth appointment using AlbionCare.

Express Care Albion is a walk-in clinic that sees clients on a first-come, first-served basis and can be contacted at (517) 654-1020.

For after-hours care, AlbionCare is available 24/7, 365 days a year.

    Assistant Director of Campus Wellness

    After becoming a registered medical assistant, Melissa spent time working in a variety of health care offices such as Podiatry, Family practice, Cardiology, and Pulmonary. Melissa began her career at Albion College in 2012, working as a registered medical assistant in the student health clinic. Melissa now works as a health care navigator for students, assisting with things such as health insurance, mental health triage, and other basic medical needs. As the Assistant Director of Campus Wellness, Melissa is in charge of campus-wide wellness events and activities. Melissa is also the BLS/CPR instructor for campus.
