2022 Equestrian Camp

Make the transition to intercollegiate riding with our Varsity Western College-Bound Equestrian Camp Campers will be immersed in the camp curriculum and follow the daily camp schedule from 9:00a.m. – 4:00p.m. Students will ride twice per day and also attend unmounted lectures on college riding and other college related topics.
Camp Details
Designed for rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Our camp sessions will focus on building not only the riding skills of students, but also their knowledge and understanding of general horsemanship in the hunt seat and western disciplines. Incoming Albion first-year Western equestrians welcome with coach approval.

- Co-educational camp for male and female equestrians age 14-17.
Riding disciplines & Prerequisites
- Western (horsemanship and ranch riding)
- Riders must be experienced and able to tack up/untack their own horse and perform basic riding maneuvers. Video will be required as part of the application.
Daily Schedule
- 9:00am – Campers Arrive
- 10:00am – First Ride
- 11:30am – Lunch (included)
- 12:30pm – Unmounted educational activity
- 2:00pm – Second Ride
- 4:00pm – Depart
Cost
- $399.00
- $379.00 for deposited riders in the Class of 2022 (refund will be issued)
Supervision
- All riding instruction is given by the coach of the Albion College Varsity Western Equestrian teams along with current Albion College student equestrians, who serve as camp counselors.
