Alpha Chi Omega's Walk-A-Mile

Walk-a-Mile is a peaceful demonstration held in conjunction with SAFE Place of Battle Creek. We invite everyone (faculty, staff, and students alike) to "walk a mile in survivors’ shoes" around the quad beginning with a kick-off from SAFE Place representatives. We focus on the intersectionality of domestic violence and are inviting everyone to wear whatever shoes they are comfortable in—tennis shoes, high heels, or sandals. The Real, Strong Women of Alpha Chi Omega recognize that the nondiscriminatory nature of domestic violence shows itself in men, women, non-binary, LGBTQ folks, and every race and socioeconomic state. This event will occur on October 18th, 2024 at 6 pm on the Quad.
