Beyond Albion 2024

Beyond Albion is the merging of 3 separate events into one: Gerstacker Recruitment Night, Ford service organizations/grad school fair, and the CIC Off-Campus Domestic  Program Fair. Held each fall, this event is for students seeking full-time employment, internships, after-graduation service projects, information on graduate/professional programs, and those interested in domestic off-campus study.

For those seeking a job or internship, Beyond Albion is an opportunity for you to present yourself professionally in-person to a potential employer while showcasing your communication skills.  The keys to a successful experience are preparation and follow-up. Here is a checklist to help you get prepared!

• Research the list of participating employers through Handshake.
• Get your resume reviewed  (see Gerstacker or CIC).
• Prepare your 30-second introduction and practice with the Gerstacker or CIC staff members.
• Make sure you have a suit, padfolio, and numerous copies of your resume printed on resume paper!
• Don't forget to ask for business cards at the job fair so you can follow up with thank-you notes.

There will be a photo backdrop at Beyond Albion. Have a friend take your photo with your phone and use the photo for your LinkedIn profile. The backdrop will be located in the lobby of Upper Baldwin.
