Matriculation is a formal process of becoming a student or enrolling into a college. This event marks the moment when all new students (both first-years and transfers) officially become a part of the Albion family in College history.
During this event, our students are formally welcomed to the Albion community of scholars by the College’s president, faculty and students. On the Friday of Fall Orientation each year, Friday, August 26, 2022, this year, students go through the following traditions to Matriculate into Albion College;
- Learn the College hymn, “Albion, Dear Albion”
- Sign the College’s student pledge
- Walkthrough the Petherick Walk of Scholars and through the Faculty Gauntlet
