Our Mission
The Office of Belonging seeks to foster a cultural climate that builds and supports diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, where every individual at Albion College matters and is welcome. Our work, in partnership with the broad campus community, advances efforts for transformational change in student retention and thriving, experiential learning, academic excellence, and career and professional outcomes. Through education, the celebration of diversity, and practicing inclusiveness, the Office of Belonging will harness the full spectrum of human potential to drive innovation, creativity, and equity throughout our institution.
Vision Statement
The Office of Belonging aspires to help create and sustain a college-wide culture that understands that diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging are essential to the college mission and the institution’s continued success. Through training, education, collaboration, policy development, advocacy, and stewardship, all community members will realize their full potential as part of Albion’s collective future. One office alone cannot change the college, but together we have the power to change the culture!
