The Mae Experience

Our newest residential building, The Mae Karro Residential Village, or ‘The Mae,’ is located amongst Whitehouse Hall, Mitchell Towers, 1112 Porter, and the Fraternity Chapter Houses. With high ceilings and great natural light, The Mae apartments are always in demand and are considered the premium apartment-style option on campus. Each apartment is equipped with a full kitchen and living room furnishings, and a shared lounge and laundry room is located in Building 2. Apartments in the Mae are available in 4- and 6-person combinations.

Of the 13 apartments available between the four different buildings, there are:

  • 2 six-person units (three double-occupancy/each)
  • 7 four-person units (two double-occupancy/each)
  • 4 four-person units (four single-occupancy/each)

Room Selection Process

If interested in applying to live in a Mae Karro Residential Village apartment during Spring Room Selection Process, students can apply in a group of six (3 bedroom) or four (2 and 4 bedroom options). Juniors and seniors are eligible to apply to apartment options at Albion.

The Mae is always in high demand – we recommend that groups of seniors apply based on their lottery number priority.

For more information on room rates, please see the Student Accounting Office’s Tuition & Fees page.

Students in The Mae are not required to be on a College Board Plan. However, students may purchase a College Board Plan if desired. Please see Dining Services for more information.
