ALEKS Scores and Placement

Regardless of your initial ALEKS score, you have access to the online modules in ALEKS and we encourage you to use these to increase your preparation for mathematics and related courses. You may also use the modules to prepare for a retake of the placement test if you want to increase your placement.

ALEKS Score	Initial Placement
At least 74	Math 141: Calculus 1 (Placement into higher level courses decided on a case-by-case basis.)
Between 61 and 73, inclusive	Math 127: Trigonometry (Math 127 may be taken concurrently with Math 141: Calculus)
Between 46 and 60, inclusive	Math 120: College Algebra
Below 46, with interest in one of the following: Accounting, Astronomy, Business, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Pre-Engineering	Math 100: Mathematics Essentials
Below 46, with interest OUTSIDE of the following: Accounting, Astronomy, Business, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Pre-Engineering	ALEKS modules for self-study
