How/Why Your Aid May Change

Changes to Your Financial Aid Package

Your financial aid offer may be revised for any of the following reasons:

  • Change in housing status. Students appealing to live off campus and or commute can have a change in financial aid.
    • Students should reach out to the Financial Aid Office to find out about the adjustments to their award if they are appealing to commute and/or live off campus.
    • Albion College need-based aid is calculated based on a living in college-owned housing.
  • Notification of additional financial aid resources not listed on your award notification.
  • Less than full-time enrollment.
  • Change in family circumstances such as income increases or household size.
  • Changes resulting in verification of your information.
  • Reduction in state or federal financial aid funding.
  • Not filing a FAFSA.

If your financial circumstances change, you may be eligible for more or less aid.

Students are encouraged to complete the FAFSA each year by the May 1 to be considered for the maximum aid.
