Connecting to Albion Devices

iPhone

• Go to Settings
• Tap General
• Tap About
• The Wifi address is near the bottom

Android

• Go to Settings
• Tap About this phone
• You will find the Wifi/MAC/Physical address in either Hardware or Status

Windows 7, 8, and 10

• Click on the Windows Logo in the bottom left corner
• In the search box, type cmd and press enter
• In the command prompt, type ipconfig /all and press enter/return.
• The Physical Address will be your MAC address

Mac OSX (10.9.x and above)

• Click on the Apple Menu, and choose the System Preferences menu item
• Click on Network
• Click on Wi-Fi
• Click the Advanced button
• The Wi-Fi Address is your wireless MAC address

Linux

• In a terminal window type ifconfig and return.
• You’ll see a list of interfaces. Your wireless interface will likely be named wlan0 or wifi0. The wireless MAC address will be in the field labeled HWaddr.
• You can also use iwconfig to find your wireless MAC address if you have it installed.

Playstation 5

• Turn on your PS5 go to the PlayStation Home Screen
• Click on the gear icon label “Settings”
• Once in “Settings” go to the Software System
• Select Console information
• The information needed is listed under MAC Address (Wi-Fi)

Playstation 4

• Turn on your PS4 and wait for the Dynamic Menu to appear.
• Press up on the D-Pad and scroll to the right, select Settings.
• Scroll down and select System in the Settings menu.
• The information needed is listed under MAC Address (Wi-Fi)

PlayStation 3

To set up the PlayStation 3 follow these steps:

• Power up the PlayStation 3 without any disc in the drive.
• Once the PlayStation 3 operating system has loaded, select “Settings.”
• Once you are in “Settings” select “Network Settings.”
• When the “Network Settings” list appears, select the first option which is titled “Settings and Connection Status List.”

PlayStation Vita

• Open the Settings app.
• Scroll until you see System Options and tap on it.
• Tap System Information
• Your MAC Address is listed here.

Xbox One

• Xbox One will want you to have an internet connection before it will allow you to see your MAC Address. Here is a way around this issue so you can collect your MAC Address and submit a work request with us.
• Boot up the system and allow it to run the start-up protocol.
• When it fails, the One will prompt you to continue or fix.
• Select fix it.
• The One will attempt to diagnose any issues and take you to a screen prompting you to manually set up a connection.
• You will see your MAC Address listed on the screen.

Xbox 360

• Go to the System area of the Xbox Dashboard and select Network Settings.
• Select Edit Settings.
• From Additional Settings, select Advanced Settings.
• At the bottom of this screen you’ll see a heading called Wired MAC Address.

Xbox

• Turn on your Xbox console with no game disc in the disc tray.
• From the Xbox Dashboard, choose Settings.
• From the Settings screen, select Network Settings.
• At the lower right-hand corner of the screen you will see “MAC=” followed by a combination of 12 numbers and letters; this is your MAC address.

Nintendo Switch

• Select “System Settings” from the HOME Menu.
• Scroll down through the menu and select “Internet.”
• The Nintendo Switch console’s MAC address will be listed under “System MAC Address”.

Nintendo Wii U

• Turn on the Wii.
• From the Wii Menu, select Wii Options. (It is the round button in the lower left corner that says “Wii”.)
• Select Wii Settings.
• Scroll to the right to Wii System Settings 2.
• Select Internet.
• Select Console Information.

Nintendo Wii

If you have a web browser for the Nintendo Wii, you can connect to the internet with the web browser and fill out the registration form. If you do not have the web browser, please follow the steps below:

• Turn on the Wii.
• From the Wii Menu, select Wii Options. (It is the round button in the lower left corner that says “Wii”.)
• Select Wii Settings.
• Scroll to the right to Wii System Settings 2.
• Select Internet.
• Select Console Information.

Nintendo 3DS

• From the Home Menu select System Settings
• Select Internet Settings
• Tap Other Information

Tap Confirm MAC Address and you will see your MAC Address listed.

Nintendo DS

• First insert a Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection compatible game and access the WFC Setup Utility. Please note that the exact steps to access the setup utility varies by game. However, the setup utility is a standard menu, included with all WFC-compatible games.
• After accessing the utility, tap “Options,” then “System Information.”
• The MAC Address and Nintendo WFC ID will be listed on the screen. Unless the game player has successfully connected with Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, the WFC ID will be blank.

• Select Settings.
• If you are using software version 1.x, select About. If you are using software version 2.0, select General, and then select About.
• The MAC Address will be listed as either Wireless ID or Ethernet ID.
• You can also find both the Wireless ID or Ethernet ID on the UPC label on the bottom or back of the Apple TV box, next to the serial number.

For other network devices like Tivo systems, wireless TVs, etc. please consult the manufacturer’s documentation for how to find the MAC address.

If you are having difficulty determining your MAC address please contact the Help Desk for assistance. In most cases you will need to bring the device, power adapter, and any instruction manuals and/or installation CDs to the Help Desk office on the ground floor of Ferguson Hall to have them configured properly.
