Dillery passed away May 24 in Battle Creek at the age of 94. There will be a memorial service for Dillery, and his wife, Marty, Saturday, July 8 at 2 p.m. at the Science Complex Atrium on the Albion College campus.
Albion College Professors Nicolle Zellner and Carrie Menold will be part of the Center for Advanced Sample Analysis of Astromaterials from the Moon and Beyond (CASA Moon), which will decipher the origin, evolution and chronology of the ancient lunar crust through lunar sample analyses.
When you get to college, the question becomes ‘what do you want to be when you graduate?’ But for me, it’s still ‘what do I want to be when I grow up?’”
The lessons are as diverse as the classrooms in which the Albion College teacher candidates present them. The topics involve poetry, plants, the civil war, civic engagement, science and more.
On most college campuses, the end of the semester means saying goodbye to students – then dealing with dumpsters bursting with discarded items. Yes, there is a lot of trash, but also a many items that look like they were used once and then discarded, including clothes.
Friday, April 28, Pastor Leon McDonald, ’03, delivered the alumni address for the second annual Kente Graduation ceremony in Baldwin Hall. His remarks were met by joyous applause from students and shouts of loving agreement from the parents, staff and faculty who came to honor the graduates.
Much like a NASA mission, Albion College waited for the right weather window for Commencement Saturday and got clear skies as it launched the class of 2023 on the next stage of its life journey.
