Scott Melzer (right), professor of sociology in Albion College’s Anthropology and Sociology Department, is featured in a lengthy online interview with The Atlantic regarding his new book, Manhood Impossible.
The book, published by Rutgers University Press, focuses on the changing roles of fathers and how the traditional role of breadwinner has evolved. The interview, conducted by Ashley Fetters, looks more deeply at one of the groups Melzer studied—stay-at-home dads—and how they have redefined their personal definitions of what manhood really means.
