Detroit ’67 Screening

From 0:01 a.m. to midnight on Friday, April 23, we will be screening a recording of the Theatre Department’s September 2020 production of Detroit ’67 by Dominique Morisseau. All members of the Albion community are invited to enjoy the show free of charge.

To access the recording, visit albion.edu/d67 between 0:01 a.m. and midnight on Friday, April 23 and enter the password you were provided at registration. After midnight, the screening will be taken down per our licensing agreement. The show is approximately two hours long; please plan your time accordingly.

To receive the password, fill out our registration form. Registration will remain open throughout the day of the screening.

It’s 1967 in Detroit. Motown music is getting the party started, and Chelle and her brother Lank are making ends meet by turning their basement into an after-hours joint. But when a mysterious woman finds her way into their lives, the siblings clash over more than the family business. As their pent-up feelings erupt, so does their city, and they find themselves caught in the middle of the 1967 riots.
